the mind remembers
memories
desolate landscapes
of woven signs and symbols
that it wants to escape
where it doesn’t ever feel
at home
because they aren’t real
home isn’t either
just another symbol
that forces the mind to wander
endlessly
until all signs of light
and all senses
finally immerse
in an ocean of darkness
and complete silence
